This is my first visit to the USO web-site. It is very informative. I'm thinking of volunteering with the USO because of the great work that they do. I'm so proud to be an American and I'm even prouder of all the young men and women who serve our country protecting our freedom and our rights. God love you all! My brother is retired from the Army and service was his career. I'm very proud of him and feel it is time to do something on my own to give back to the service personell and families who give for us each and every day. Thank you all.

My son Kyle graduated from USMC boot camp 4/9/2010, he was stationed at Ft. Leonardwood for his MOS training. While there, his Grandfather was near death, we called the Red Cross they assisted us in getting him home. Come 4th of July and he was awarded a travel extension & able to come home (NJ) for his step-Dad's birthday, then of course there was graduation & we finally got him home for 10 days before he left for a 22 month commitment in Okinawa, Japan! I am giving you all this information because you may or may not realize airlines do not always line up with military time. My son utilized the USO services on each of these 3 journeys. He spent the night both ways each time and except for the 4th of July trip (Army personnel got there first) 5 times he was hosted by your amazing staff. July 4th there was "no room at the inn" he slept on the floor, its ok he is 19 & a United States Marine, he can handle it~ This past June I was laid off (non teaching personnel in the education industry in New Jersey don't have a "prayer"). I am not in a position to make a donation but I would like to send a heartfelt card of thanks to the St. Louis Airport USO volunteers who hosted my son in such a fine way. He is my first born and this is the first Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years in 19 years that I will not be able to hug my son. He is doing an honorable thing and I am incredibably proud of him, "it takes a village", I just want to thank your volunteers for being there to make "my Marine's" journey comfortable. Thanks, God Bless, Merry Christmas, Sheila Bogner

Here's a short Christmas story that embodies the true spirit of Christmas It's about a wonderful and selfless couple, our parents Rich and Dolores Ceglinski of Foley MO.They've been married 55 yrs and have raised 5 baby boomers At Thanksgiving this year when asked what they would like for Christmas, mother stated"We have everything we need.We don't need anymore stuff" Dad concurred. They simply asked if we would make a donation to the James S McDonnell USO on their behalf, that would be meaningful gift for them. Thus being done, the Ceglinski family Meg, Jean, Rich Jr David,Mary, their spouses, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Rich and Dolores wish to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the dedicated and selfless volunteers of the USO of Missouri as well as the men and women of our nations armed services you serve not only during the holidays, but throughout the year!!

This was my second time at the MO USO. Both times the service has been excellent. Missouri is definitely not my favorite state, but it does have my favorite USO. It's nice to have a place where a soldier can feel welcome and comfortable. ~PFC Fox US Army

Thank you for volunteering. The MO USO has greatly improved since my last visit. Very comfortable, home-like aura. Plenty of activities and free food. The beds were extremely handy. Money well spent, thanks again. SSG Puente US Army
